We are often reminded of the sacrifices made by ALL servicemen and women – military, firefighters, police officers, and many others – as we celebrate holidays like Memorial Day and Veterans Day or read tear-jerking stories of their bravery. So, today, as we remember the 9/11 attacks on our country, we’d like to share how our brand salutes and honors our servicemen and women each and every day.

Many Blimpie stores offer several discounts to veterans, active duty military personnel and service members and their families. Additionally, Blimpie has been working for the past 16 years to make locations more accessible to military personnel. We currently have locations in AAFES convenience stores on six military bases in the United States, and those stores offer frequent specials to military personnel and their families.

Blimpie is also a brand that was born in the Tri-State region – the seat of many national organizations for service members, including the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association, the Law Enforcement Officers Security Unions and several other organizations supporting veterans, police officers and firefighters.  Plus, all NYC-based first responders, including the NYPD and FDNY, are deserving of special recognition on this day for their immediate and fearless response to the 9/11 WTC attacks.   Pride in and support for our servicemen and women is built into the DNA of NYC and the entire Tri-State region, so we just want to do our part as a tristate-born brand to salute the Ground Zero heroes.
